Earn Online Credits For Political Science and Sociology Classes

If you’d like to learn a little bit about politics, and a little bit of about psychology with just a sprinkle of sociology then I recommend you go online and get yourself a free education participating with others on Internet in forums on political issues. What you will learn will be worth its weight in gold and is far better than earning online credits because you will get a taste of what the real world is all about, and what people are really thinking.

You see, people online often say what they are thinking whereas, if you meet them in public they may not say those kinds of things. There are many reasons for this, for instance, many people use screen names, or fake names online when they blog, go onto social networks, or post their thoughts in Internet forums.

If you really wish to get a handle upon what people are thinking about during the political season then you don’t have to go very far online to find a good intellectual debate on political topics. You will also find very quickly that far too many people have too much animosity, distrust of the government, and anger towards the other political parties that are not their own.

Political Science – The Umbrella of Social Good

To each endeavor there is an end. This is the point Aristotle draws on to point out the all encompassing and pure nature of politics.

Using an example as his teacher the philosopher demonstrates that to each action there is a result. “The end of medical art is health, that of ship building a vessel, that of strategy victory, and that of economics wealth.”

What is it that surrounds each of these actions to bring one grand action to one grand end? The answer to our question would be answered here by Aristotle with a resounding; politics.

His point being that to take on political endeavor to study the art of health, strategy, economics and, yes, even ship building. Politics is the umbrella under which all other endeavors and arts are governed. This, the philosopher states is the “master art.”

One must ask in this analysis what is the definition of science? It is simply a state of knowing or system of knowledge covering general truths. One must also ask what the definition of politics is in its truest sense. Politics is the art or science of government. Placing these two terms together as our philosopher chooses to conclude is therefore indicative of the point begin drawn out. Politics or “political science” is the governing and driving art which guides all other endeavors or actions leading to social good.

Bachelor Degree – Political Science

We’ve all heard the jokes about the worthless bachelor degrees that people get. Those that major in these areas go through a lot of abuse. Give them credit because they’re good sports for taking all the garbage we hand them. And probably there is no person more worthy of an applause than the kid who gets a bachelor degree in political science. Good heavens, what can you POSSIBLY do with one of those? Well, it may surprise you to find out that a bachelor degree in political science is one of the most popular degrees to get for one of the most popular and oldest professions. We’re talking about those good old ambulance chasing lawyers.

Say what you want about lawyers too, but these people make an awful lot of money. And guess what? They earn every penny of it. Anyone who has passed the bar will tell you that. It’s not easy. But for now we’re just talking about getting a bachelor degree in political science. Just what is involved? What courses do you have to take? What supporting courses?
